Wow, it’s Friday already. It feels like we’ve been on a permanent weekend this week. Monday was a holiday so we took time to hang out as a family. We went to the kids gym (aka bouncies at the WISC) and wore the kids out before taking them for ice cream. (Thanks Indira!!! Zane got such a kick out of paying for everyone’s ice cream.) We made dog treats (this one from The Kitchn, Charlie digs ‘em) and then it was time for bed.
Tuesday we were supposed to have TONS of snow, which turned out to be an inch, so we picked the kids up from school early. I made lip balm, which was kinda neat. (Melt 1 part beeswax, 1 part olive oil and 2 parts coconut oil together, then dump into empty tubes you get from amazon.) The snow finally showed up late Tuesday night, making Wednesday a snow day. There was a bit of playing in the snow, but it turns out I’m raising southern boys who can’t deal with 15 degree weather, so most of the day was spent indoors eating ramen noodles imported pasta playing video games doing educational puzzle solving and ignoring the laundry.

Ferris lasted the longest in the snow. Zane wanted back in right away, followed quickly by Charlie.
It's been so cold we've got all five cats in residence at the moment. They are horrible bed hogs.
Yay for crazy noodles! (aka ramen.)
He's in a Vogue stage at the moment. Every time he see's the camera pointed at him, he strikes a pose.
